A Christian without a home church is like an organ without a body, a branch without a tree, or a sheep without a shepherd. An extract from TREM’s mission statement is “…equip members with the word of God and release them to make a formidable impact in our world for the Kingdom”.
The Ministries in Training (MIT) is the arm of the church which helps new attendees to fulfill this aim and become full members of TREM. The way people join an organisation/church greatly influences the way they function after joining. This also determines their effectiveness as members.
If little is required to join the church, then very little can be expected from members later on. The membership class (MIT) sets the tone and expectation level for everything else that follows. A strong foundation will into a church system will always build a strong congregation. The benefits of going through these classes are as follows:
- It will help you build a solid foundation in your Christian walk.
- It will help you discover your role within the church (i.e. TREM).
- You will understand what it REALLY means to be “Saved”.
- It will help you discover your spiritual gifts.
